MORALES HOME: MASTER BEDROOM DETAILS & DECOR IDEAS

August 10, 2016

I would have to say our bedroom is most definitely our HAPPY PLACE! I love our bedroom so much and the ambiance is just perfect, to unwind and relax. I believe every bedroom should have a light and airy feel, it should be a place that relaxes you from a long day. So in today's post I will be sharing some details and decor tips to help you accomplish this. A major component to accomplish this is the decoration and small details! Like I always say..."It's all about the details".

When we first moved into our home, I knew I wanted a gray and white theme with touches of gold and silver. I'm not afraid to mix and match colors or textures, but I wanted to keep everything very light and neutral. However, throughout our house you will find the color "blue" as our pop of color. We have some blue details here and there to give our house some life. Even though I like everything the same color scheme, I think it's fun choosing a color to make a statement!

So...without further a do, I present to you our bedroom! (cue the MTV cribs theme song hahaha...jk)
Our night tables are super simple, I'm not a fan of over crowding them. I believe adding a simple frame and lamp is just enough. As you can see I have a cute brass and marble lamp and a frame.

This custom canvas from the House of Belonging is my absolute favorite! I love the font and the quote! I wanted to add a cute and romantic quote to our room, so when I saw this it was perfect! It reminds me of the day I met George and how my life changed forever! <3 (corny I know haha..oh well!)

Here you can get a better picture of how the perfect mirrored frames look in our room. If you haven't seen that previous post, check it out to see where I purchased them!
Our adorable shag rug is from one of my favorite online stores Overstock. They always have great options and prices! As soon as we installed our wood flooring we ordered this beauty. George and I wanted something soft to step on as soon as we woke up lol. Besides that I believe that adding a rug to your bedroom makes it feel welcoming and cozy. Keep in mind, you want a light color this way you can brighten your room. Doesn't the floor look amazing!? I love how it accents the color of the walls perfectly. It's literally what I've always wanted!! OBSESSED is an understatement! If you missed my Bye Bye Carpet post check it out!
I went with white curtains, but they are also considered black out. Meaning when they are closed all the way, they are not see threw and block out any light. This is a plus for those days you just want to sleep in! Again, adding curtains makes a huge difference and adds that comfy feeling! It seriously completes the room! This long mirror is a HUGE help when getting ready! It let's me see my whole outfit before stepping out. It also serves as a perfect spot to take mirror pics lol!
On our dresser we have a touch of blue with our ming box from Z Gallerie. This box serves as decoration, but also as storage for the hubby's colognes....(SCORE!!) lol.  The candelabras, are also from Z Gallerie and add an elegant and romantic vibe. I believe that less is more and there is no need to go overboard decorating.
