PURPLE MAKEUP TUTORIAL: MORPHE X JACLYN HILL

May 29, 2019

Happy Wednesday cuties! Today I'm going to be sharing a FUN makeup look with you all! I wanted to do something different than what I usually do. I decided to just go for it and do a pop of color! I chose the color purple, it looked so beautiful in the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette. I also thought it would compliment my eyes and skin color. I broke it down step by step, this way you guys can recreate the look if you want too. I plan to keep doing these tutorials in the future, I had a lot of fun as well experimenting. I would wear this look for a night out or even for a fun date night with the hubby.

FACE
Make sure your skin is clean and moisturized. For more details on my skincare routine, check out my full skincare routine here

Primer: I primed my face with the Benefits POREfessional. I applied a small amount using my finger tips. I mainly applied this where I have pores on my nose, cheeks and chin.

Foundation: I used the Nars Radiant foundation in the shade "Punjab. I love that it's build-able, makes my skin look natural and glowy. I used the Morphe beauty blender to apply this evenly on my skin.

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in "light-medium honey". I apply this in a triangle shape under my eyes and bring it down to the sides of my nose. This will help make it look slimmer, if you're nose is a bit wider like mine. I also used the Morphe beauty blender to blend it out evenly.

Setting Powder: The Laura Mercier translucent powder is my go to, I used the Morphe beauty blender to apply a descent amount under my eyes. I then leave it on for about five minutes, aka "baking". While that bakes, I use the MAC powder to set the rest of my face with the MAC brush #150. I use the JH07 brush to remove the excess powder under my eyes. You can also use this brush to apply the powder, if you do not want to use the beauty blender.

CHEEKS
Bronzer: I used my favorite bronzer at the time, Morphe bronzer in "Megastar". To apply this, I love using the JH02 brush. I apply bronzer using the top of my ears as guidance and go down my cheek bones. I also contour my nose a little using the same color bronzer.

Blush: I used MAC blush in "Melba". To apply this to the apples of my cheeks, I used the JH04 blush brush.

EYES
For this look, I chose to use one of my favorite palettes the Jaclyn Hill Palette! I started with the shade "MFEO". I blend this all onto my lids using the Morphe M433 brush. This is my transition color.

the next shade I used is "Pooter" to start building the intensity on my lid. With this color I focused more on my crease and outer corner.

For my brow bone I love using the color "Beam". It's perfect for any look and helps brighten the inner corner of the eyes as well.

The next shade I used is "Buns" and this I focus on the outer corner of my eyes. This will help to shape my eye for a more dramatic look and add even more intensity.

Now for the FUN shade! This gorgeous color is called "Royalty"! I saw it and it was so inspired to use it. I am so glad that I did because it's the perfect shade and it compliments my brown eyes. Looks so exotic and vibrant. I used the JH41 brush to apply the shade evenly. Then I blend, blend and blend so that everything looks even. For blending I love using the E40 fluffy brush all over my crease. I also apply "Royalty" on my bottom lash line with the M432 brush.

For my brows I love using the Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil in "Dark Brown". For my liner, I always reach for the Kat VON D liquid liner in "Trooper".

The lashes I chose are the Ardell Whispies in Demi, those are my go to lashes. They look very natural. They make a huge difference in any look and take it to that next level!

For highlight I used "Champagne" from Artist Couture which I received in my April Boxycharm. To apply the highlight I used the JH02 brush. I love this brush to apply highlighter, it is perfect!

LIPS
I decided to go with the MAC lipstick in "Angel" and liner in "Hip n' Happy".
