Hi guys! Last night for dinner I made one of my hubby's favorites, something he likes to call "The best salmon ever!" lol. I'm not a huge fan of eating fish and this is the only way I eat salmon! It's seriously so delicious! I cook it with a sauce that I make from scratch. My sister in law was actually the first person to make it for the family and we all fell in love. She found the recipe online here, the difference is that we bake it not grill it. So I decided to share this easy and yummy recipe with you all, I promise you will love it!
What you need:
Fresh salmon
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of soy sauce (I use the low sodium one)
1/3 cup of water
A drizzle of olive oil (I eyeball it)
Lemon pepper (to taste)
Garlic powder (to taste)
Baking dish
Aluminum foil
Mixing bowl
Cutting board

What to do:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cut salmon into individual slices
Season the salmon on both sides with lemon pepper and garlic powder
Line the baking dish with foil and place salmon pieces in it
In a mixing bowl mix brown sugar, soy sauce, water and olive oil
Drizzle sauce on top of the salmon
Place baking dish in over for about 35- 40 minutes or until fish is fully cooked
Just as an FYI, I do not cover the salmon while it is cooking. I like for the fish to get a nice color and for the sauce to thicken a little bit. I line the baking dish with foil just to make it easier to clean up ;) Also, you can serve it with any side you would like; I usually accompany it with fresh mash potatoes, salad or my hubby's favorite yellow jasmine rice.
Bon appétit!
