MORALES HOME: DINING ROOM UPDATE

August 06, 2020

Hello everyone! So happy to announce that our dining room is finally complete. I already shared our updated buffet table, which I am totally in love with. Love how it flows perfectly with our dining room table and decor. It's the exact look we were going for! Something cozy feeling that would help bring in natural light. The wood and textures really help achieve that vibe in this space. George and I are so happy of  how it turned out.
The first item we purchased for this room was the buffet table. We knew the color we wanted and we were able to quickly decide what decorations we wanted displayed etc. However, shopping for the dining table itself was a bit harder than we thought. There are a lot of options out there, but we really wanted to take our time and shop around. We wanted to make sure we absolutely loved each piece before making a purchase. We plan to have this set up for a couple of years, so quality was a major factor on our wish list.

We searched online on different websites and even visited local stores. We wanted to see our options and really determine what style and color we wanted. We ended up going to City Furniture one evening and fell in love with this table! The color was exactly what we wanted and it had a bench, which was a must on our wish list. The quality is also very good and we are sure it will last us for years to come. We did not purchase the chairs that came with the table. We wanted to add a different touch and something modern to the table. So we decided to go with ghost chairs! I think it looks so elegant, but welcoming at the same time. Love the combo of different textures and how it all flows perfectly together. It really is the perfect vibe of modern farmhouse.
For the wall decor, we knew we needed a statement piece. After searching online for something we loved,  George found the beautiful wood canvases from Kirklands. They are so beautiful and the perfect size for this huge wall. They compliment the table perfectly, the design is simple and really adds texture to this space. We are so obsessed with the way they look hanging on the wall. For the table centerpiece we added a runner and the same glass vases with candles we had on our old table. We also updated the light fixtures and that gave it the perfect modern farmhouse touch! This space feels so much more spacious and perfect for family dinners. What do you all think?
