Hello friends, today's post is a much anticipated one! I will be recapping our trip to the beautiful Dominican Republic. I got so many questions from you all and I hope this post helps to answer them. Every year, we like to plan a family trip out of the country to really escape the rush and routine we are used to. This year, we all chose to visit the Dominican Republic and I was so excited! I had never been there and it was Alessandra's first major trip!

We booked our trip earlier this year, but before we did we consulted a travel agent to assist us. We were a big group and wanted recommendation on resorts. We knew we wanted a newer one and most importantly an all inclusive resort. After researching and reading reviews we decided to go with Dreams Dominicus La Romana and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We booked our stay for 7 days and 6 nights. We were all so excited and couldn't wait to leave. Our travel dates were from August 18th to August 24th. On our departure date, I was nervous on how Alessandra would handle her first plane ride. She did so good and behaved so well! Thank goodness lol I made sure to pack snacks and toys for her etc. She loved looking out the window and when we landed she was a bit confused, but she went with the flow as usual.

When we got to the resort, we were tired, but so excited to explore! The resort was more beautiful in person. We were all very impressed and our room was just perfect! I loved that it had a separate living space from the bedroom and the bathroom had it's own space as well. It was literally like a little apartment, I was just happy that Alessandra had space to run around lol. Our room also had a beautiful wrap around balcony.

Our first night, we just settled in to our rooms, freshened up and went to dinner. After a long day of travel, we wanted to get lots of rest. However, the next morning we got up early and had breakfast at the buffet. Then we headed to the beach and let me tell you that the water was SPECTACULAR! Such a pretty blue color and so clear! We were all obsessed with how amazing the beach was. We were also part of the preferred club and had a separate bar and beach area from everyone else. I thought that it was nice to upgrade and take advantage of those amenities. We pretty much spent everyday at the beach and pool! The kids had a blast and I know we all made fun memories as a family. Here are more pictures from throughout the week.

George, his sister and I decided to have a spa day one of our days there. We all got a massage, we also went into the steam room and sauna. They also had a private pool area and it was super relaxing. The spa was also very luxurious and the staff was super attentive. We really had a great time!

On one of our days, we also decided to do a tour and visit Isla Saona. This is one of their popular and beautiful islands. Now, the water here was CRYSTAL CLEAR! Seriously, the most beautiful beach I have ever seen thus far. It is so crazy, how our world has these beautiful places. I think Alessandra thought that we were in a pool lol. She loves splashing water on everyone, she thinks it's super funny. It was also her first boat ride! We loved that the boats were "party boats" lol they would pass out drinks, blast music and everyone would dance. I'm happy that we decided to do the tour and explore the country. That will definitely be a fun memory to have forever!

Overall, this trip was super memorable. I will forever cherish it, as there were so many firsts for Alessandra. There is something so sweet about making memories and experiencing everything with your kids. We didn't want to leave, but we did miss #TheMoralesHome a lot and we were happy to come back home. If there is one con that the hotel had, I would have to say that they can improve their food a little more and the service within the restaurants as well.
